The CIMB Classic was played on October 29 to November 1. It was played at Kuala Lumpur G & CC in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This tournament was first played in 2010. This is the only official PGA Tour tournament that is played in Southeast Asia. There were 78 total players that competed in this tournament. There were 60 players from the PGA Tour, 10 from the Asian Tour, and 8 that got sponsors exemptions. Justin Thomas ended up pulling ahead and winning the tournament. He and Brendan Steele were tied at 20 under par after three rounds. He finished with a total score of 26 under par for the weekend. He is the youngest ever CIMB Classic winner. That was also his first ever PGA Tour win. Adam Scott played a bogey free round and shot 63 to fall one shot shy of a playoff with Thomas. A few past winners are Adam Scott, Kevin Na, and Brendan Steele. This is a very cool tournament to watch on television because there is different scenery than what we have in the United States. It is tough for the PGA Tour players because the grass is very different than anything they will see around here. However, this facility is not only for golf. There are gyms, tennis courts, and much much more to choose from. There is lots of things to do for the golfers and their families. The next tournament on the agenda for the PGA Tour is the Sanderson Farms Championship.
