The Waste Management Open was played on the TPC Scottsdale Stadium course in Scottsdale, Arizona. The total purse for the tournament was $6,500,000. The winner got $1,170,000 of that. There was some very good competitors in this golf tournament. Some of the big names were Rickie Fowler, Keegan Bradley, Kevin Kisner, Phil Mickelson, and Bubba Watson. After the first round there was a three way tie at -6. Shane Lowry, Rickie Fowler, and Hideki Matsuyama. Number sixteen is a par three that is set up like a stadium. Golf is supposed to be a quiet sport but the fans are yelling and screaming all of the time. Players say that you have to embrace it you can not ask them to be quiet or they will get ten times louder. You just can't let the noise bother you. Francisco Molinari decided to pump up the crowd when he made a hole in one at the sixteenth. Everyone was jumping up and down and cheering. The fans even started to throw beer cans onto the hole. Rickie Fowler and Hideki Matsuyama were tied at -14 at the end of regulation. On the fourth sudden death playoff hole Rickie fowler hit his ball into the water. Hideki Matsuyama beat Rickie on that hole. This playoff was a fun one to watch they were back and fourth on every hole. i thought that Rickie was going to win but Hideki pulled it off in the end. The tournament next weekend is the AT&T Pro-am.

You could just give me 10% of the money and I would be very happy. Unfortunately I am bad at golf and can't hit a ball that doesn't even move 50 yards. Really Bad. I like the idea of a hole where fans can be loud. It almost makes golf seem like a fun sport. All I can picture is Happy Gilmore and his redneck friends.
